Jul 15, 2021 Any alternative the the $300 peristaltic pump? Why not use a magnetic stirrer for the mixing? Could you run it like a kalk reactor, where the chamber is sealed, and the output is created due to the ro being pushed in, thus created positive pressure that causes the kalk slurry to exit the effluent line?

May 15, 2006 Seems to me the typical magnetic stirrer with the regular electric motor base would work the same. I guess you are trying to avoid having a powerhead electric wire running out of the pressurized kalk reactor, right?

Sep 02, 2020 I have the magnetic stirrer come on at 11am for 2 minutes, this is enough time to completely clear the kalk powder at the bottom. This is done with a digital plug timer. I leave it to settle for 6 hours and then dose every hour.
